Last Mile Investments (LMI) is seeking a Portfolio Strategy Analyst to support firmwide portfolio strategy fund-level analysis and investor-facing initiatives. LMI is a vertically integrated real estate investment manager focused on acquiring operating and scaling necessity-based service-oriented retail assets across high-growth U.S. markets.
The Portfolio Strategy Analyst is a cross-functional role supporting both Portfolio Management and Investment Management with responsibilities spanning asset-level performance analysis oversight of business plan execution portfolio strategy investor account management and investor communications. While the position will be based in Cincinnati to align with the firms portfolio analytics and asset-level data workflows the analyst will work closely with senior leadership multiple cross-functional departments including senior leadership.
A core component of this role is evaluating the execution of asset-level business plans across the existing portfolio and helping identify opportunities to maximize returns on owned assets including through leasing strategy capital allocation refinancing analysis and other value-creation initiatives. This position is designed for analytically strong candidatesparticularly those with backgrounds in investment sales or principal-side real estateseeking broader exposure to portfolio strategy realized performance and capital formation within a growing investment platform.

Headquartered in Cincinnati OH the Firm was founded in 2019 by Ryan Moore (CEO) and David Birdsall (CIO) (combined the Co-Founders) who have significant retail investment management and capital markets experience across their collective careers. Market Opportunity
LMI has established a robust national portfolio across 24 markets and a clear vision for growth. The Firm is seeking to add $1 billion of assets to its portfolio over the next three years aiming to reach $2 billion in assets across 30-40 markets within five years.
Historically LMI has successfully raised multiple commingled fund vehicles capitalized by a diversified roster of institutional family office and high-net-worth investors. Recently LMI completed the capital raise of Fund III.
LMI targets multi-tenanted last mile retail assets that typically range in size from square feet in highly trafficked densely populated locations. LMI often targets assets that are undermanaged and/or undercapitalized and seeks to create value through tailored capital improvements lease-up / re-tenanting operational improvements and mark-to-market opportunities. Importantly LMI assets cater to e-commerce-resistant and service-based tenants including food & beverage health & wellness healthcare and service/convenience users.
This approach generates significant tenant demand and stable cash-on-cash returns. LMIs current portfolio consists of 32 last mile retail assets located throughout the Sunbelt.
