Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Equity Trader to join our dynamic trading team. Reporting to the Head of Trading Asia Pacific the successful candidate will primarily focus on the Asia Pacific equity markets but will also assist with global equities when required. This role involves leveraging various trading systems and collaborating closely with investment professionals to ensure efficient trading processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage equity trade execution for our regional based portfolios with primarily focus on Asia Pacific Markets and occasionally other global markets like MENA and European equities when required.

• Utilize various trading platforms such as Aladdin Flextrade Charles River Bloomberg and broker-specific systems to facilitate trade and monitor trade process real-time.

• Follow the market communicate closely with brokers on daily flows and news disseminate real-time market and single stock news to the portfolio management teams and prepare daily market summary.

• Perform pre-trade and post-trade analyses to evaluate the performance and efficiency of trades. Assist team head on TCA report analysis and review with brokers.

• Assist on auto-routing wheel set up and monitoring.

• Maintain accurate trade data and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Prepare daily and quarterly reporting required by the team and the regulator.

• Work closely with our Compliance Operations AMGO and Risk teams to ensure smooth trading process timely trade matching & settlement and related trade reporting analysis.

• Perform necessary daily checking to identify and mitigate potential risks. Remain alert to market conditions that could pose risks to trading strategies and operations.

Requirements:

• Fluency in English is a pre-requisite mandarin and Cantonese is a plus.

• Bachelors degree and appropriate SFC license

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in equity trading for Asia markets preferably on the buy-side or in a relevant institutional setting.

• Knowledge in Bloomberg Aladdin Flextrade and related trading platforms is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Ability to work in a global multi-cultural organization with fast-paced environment.

• A good team player who is careful reliable and has strong attention to details. Fast learner and be alert to various risks

• With flexibility to support peak periods including outside standard business hours in line with firm policies.
