Hope Community Services in partnership with Yorgum Healing Services and a consortium of specialist organisations is proud to deliver the Armadale Family and Domestic Violence Hub. This innovative multidisciplinary and multicultural service provides coordinated trauma-informed support for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence.
About the Role
In this role you will deliver specialised trauma-informed therapeutic counselling and case management to individuals and families impacted by family and domestic violence. You will undertake risk assessments safety planning and crisis intervention while working collaboratively with clients to identify needs and connect them with ongoing supports.
You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team and contribute to integrated service delivery across the Hub under the leadership of the FDV Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic trauma-informed and culturally sensitive counselling to people who have experienced family and domestic violence
- Deliver individual therapeutic counselling and evidence-based interventions tailored to client needs
- Facilitate or co-facilitate group programs in collaboration with colleagues or external partners
- Complete CRARMF risk assessments safety planning and ongoing risk management
- Provide immediate therapeutic support in high-risk and crisis situations
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes records and data collection
- Work within allocated portfolios such as intake and assessment outreach Child Safety Health LGBTQIA CALD communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Collaborate closely with Safety Advocates Senior Safety Advocates Lawyers and other Hub partners
- Liaise with external agencies to ensure coordinated holistic support for clients
- Ensure all work aligns with CRARMF Safe and Together relevant legislation and practice frameworks
Youll Need
Essential
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Counselling Social Work Psychology or a related discipline
- Minimum two years experience working in the family and domestic violence sector
- Lived experience or cultural expertise relevant to the role
- Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed practice FDV counselling risk assessment safety planning crisis response and case management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- C or A Class drivers licence
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Certificate (within the last 3 months)
- Department of Justice Clearance
Desirable
- Professional membership (or eligibility) with ACA AASW PACFA or AHPRA
- Working knowledge of Safe and Together CRARMF and relevant WA and national FDV frameworks
- Strong advocacy skills and ability to maintain positive stakeholder relationships
Whats on Offer
- Fixed-term role until 30 June 2027 full-time (38 hours per week)
- $100776.00 superannuation
