Project Manager Data Center

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Data Center Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a new state-of-the-art data center facility in Johor. The ideal candidate will be an APAC-based professional with a strong construction and shell & core (CSA) background who has successfully delivered at least one data center project from conception to commissioning. You will be the on-the-ground leader ensuring the project is completed on time within budget to the highest standards of quality and safety while effectively managing all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Execution: Provide full project lifecycle management for the data center construction with a focus on Civil Structural and Architectural (CSA) components. Lead planning procurement execution monitoring and successful handover.
• Stakeholder & Team Management: Be a true people person fostering strong relationships with contractors vendors internal teams (design engineering operations) and local authorities. Lead motivate and manage the on-site project team and multiple subcontractors.
• Safety Quality & Compliance Champion: Enforce a zero-harm safety culture. Ensure 100% compliance with all local (JKKP/ DOSH) and international safety regulations and building codes. Implement and audit rigorous quality control and assurance programs.
• Commercial & Financial Acumen: Develop manage and report on the project budget. Possess strong knowledge of commercial numbers to provide accurate P&L updates cost forecasting variance analysis and change order management to senior management.
• Schedule & Risk Management: Develop and maintain the master project schedule. Proactively identify mitigate and report on project risks. Ensure timely delivery of all milestones.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in mission-critical construction.
• Must have completed at least one full lifecycle data center project in a project management or senior site management role.
• Demonstrable experience in safety leadership and a stellar safety record.
• Strong commercial and financial skills with experience presenting P&L updates and managing multi-million dollar budgets.
• Exceptional communication negotiation and stakeholder management skillsa proven people person.
• Based in the APAC region and willing to be located in/relocate to Johor for the project duration.
• Professional proficiency in English.
