Environmental Services Manager

As an Environmental Services Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Reporting to the Clinical Services Coordinator you will be required to provide leadership to our Environmental Services team (Cleaning Waste and Linen) whilst delivering a high standard of service to our patients staff and visitors.

• You will be responsible for the management of the Environmental Services staff and ensure a high level of Environmental Services across thefacility.
• Manage rostering staffing and day to day supervision of team.
• Communicate and deal with contractors to facilitate managing waste linen andcleaning services.
• Review and develop work tasks and schedules for the environmental services team.
• Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy &procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients clients andstaff.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience as asupervisoror manager in a hospital environmental services hotel services or shopping centre.
• Knowledge of managing a 24/7 roster using electric time and attendance systems (eg Dimensions).
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Skills and motivation to ensure excellence in customerservice.
• The ability to complete tasks within a measurabletimeframe.
• The ability to work in a diverse physically challenging position/workload.

Come and join our expert team of surgeons specialist doctors dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed acute private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.
