Summer Camp Counselor:We are currently seeking responsible energetic counselors with a genuine passion for working with children to join our 2026 Seasonal Summer Camp who can commit toat least7weeksof camp are prioritized. 2026Camps are as follows:
JR. Day Camp
Lunch Bunch Camp
Maclay Scholars Camp
PreK Camp
Camp
Kids Club Camp
Early Bird Camp
Summer Camp Sessions 1 - 8
Purpose:These positions are seasonal employees working under the supervision of the Camp Director. The main responsibility of these positions is to lead a group of campersin havingan enjoyable safe and enriching camp experience.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the health well-being and happiness of campers.
Provide opportunities for the group so that all individuals experience success while at camp.
Encourage respect for other camperspersonal property campequipmentand facilities.
Guidecampers inparticipatingsuccessfully in all aspects of camp activities.
Superviseassistinstructors and activelyparticipatein all aspects of the campers day.
Observe camper behavior assess appropriateness enforceappropriate safetyregulations and emergency procedures and applyappropriate behavior-managementtechniques.
Meet and communicate regularly with the Camp Directorregardingconcerns updates challenges.
Provideappropriate feedbackand information to parents as needed for their campers to havea successfulcamp experience.
Maintain positive relationships with campers by showing sensitivity to campers emotional needs and problem solving any camper issues effectively.
Act as a role model for campers by following all policies anddemonstratingenthusiasm sense of humor and self-control.
Implement positivebehavior-managementtechniques.
Helpmaintainspace and supplies.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates experience working with children; camp or other group experience preferred.
Ability to teach and lead various recreational activities.
Excellent character integrity and adaptability.
Ability to communicate and work with a variety of age and skill levels.
The desire and ability to work in a cooperative team-oriented atmosphere.
Enthusiasm sense of humor patience and self-control.
A minimum age of 15 isrequiredto apply for paid positions
