Our Village of Arbour Trail located in Guelph Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Program for Active Living to join their village team.

Status: Permanent Full-Time
Location: 32 Bayberry Dr Guelph ON N1G 0C9

The expected hiring range for this is $to $58000 - $61000. This role falls within a broader internal salary band with growth opportunities based on demonstrated performance.

To be successful as our new Director of PAL you will:

Hold a Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on psychomotor behavior and exercise rehabilitation
Demonstrate experiencedevelopingimplementing evaluating and modifyingphysical and/or cognitive exercise programs based on the needs of the residents
Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents families and team members
Understand the physical mental and emotional demands of the role

It would be an asset if our new Director of PAL has:

Registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
Knowledge of relevant policies procedures legislation regulations and best practices a Experience and/or desire to provide educational sessions/ seminars
Demonstratedexperience working with seniors and/or persons with cognitive or physical impairments
Experience working in the retirement and long-term care sector (e.g.. School placement)

As a new Director of PAL joining our Village you will:

Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents. You will work as key members of our Village and neighborhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents needs and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their physical care.

Coordinate and oversee the Program for Active Living at the Village level which focuses on enhancing the quality of life of our residents and maximizing independence. Our Kinesiologists design and implement innovative physical and cognitive exercise programs with individual residents and monitors progress.

Work in close collaboration with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to ensure the needs of the residents are being met.
