  • Temporary part-time (21 hours per week) up to January 2027 opportunity
  • NSW office location hybrid working supported
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $115817 pa to $130667 pa (pro-rata for part-time) super


Our Threatened Species and Ecosystems Policy branch is seeking a skilled Secretariat to support the NSW Threatened Species Scientific Committee. This role provides critical administrative financial and secretariat support to ensure the Committee meets its statutory obligations under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and intergovernmental agreements.

You will coordinate monthly meetings manage confidential files liaise with internal and external stakeholders and support key statutory reporting and publications contributing directly to evidence-based decision-making for threatened species and ecosystems across NSW.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with subject matter experts and decision-makers who are shaping the future of conservation in NSW and beyond.

About You
You are a proactive and organised professional who can work independently within agreed priorities while making sound decisions within delegated authority. Accountable for delivering high-quality work you thrive in fast-paced complex environments and are skilled at balancing multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Experience in the administration of government processes and requirements the preparation of formal correspondence and reports and the use of management information systems to record decision making processes.
  • Experience in the preparation of complex reports and correspondence on confidential matters.
