Job Title: Wastewater DAF and Centrifuge Operator
Location: Omaha
Reporting To: Rendering Superintendent
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate the wastewater Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system and skimmers
- Perform equipment shutdowns and cleaninplace (CIP) procedures for Centrisys melt tank and other related equipment
- Grease Centrisys paunch press and bearings according to the established schedule
- Clean DAF areas including dry pickup foam removal and rinsing
- Restart the system and operate until first shift arrives
- Coordinate with first shift complete required paperwork and submit documentation
- Operate powered industrial trucks including forklifts and skid loaders
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures on equipment as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by upper management
Experience Required:
- Prior wastewater experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required
Skills/Abilities Required:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and work collaboratively
- Ability to work in conditions of extreme heat and in wet steamy environments
- Understand and operate touchscreencontrolled equipment
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to work flexible hours including some Saturdays
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work with chemicals safely
- Ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail
