Job Summary

Supervise employees across areas of manufacturing for smooth and continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise employees and manufacturing activities pertaining to the production of products and/or manufacturing processes across - and with manufacturing/technical knowledge of - multiple production areas depending on the complexity of the areas
Conduct performance reviews including resolving performance issues
Establish the scheduling of work orders and team performance metrics including monitoring output and adjusting schedules to ensure production targets are achieved
Accountable for productivity quality and training metrics of staff and provide regular progress reports and manufacturing metrics to management and cross-functional stakeholders including developing resolutions as needed to improve metrics achievement
Lead complex improvement projects partner with engineering on investigations and/or corrective actions perform non-conformance investigations for review with engineering assures documentation content is valid
Ensure appropriate staffing for all positions
Accountable to ensure staff is appropriately trained to perform assigned work
Monitor raw material usage and availability required in daily production including proposing resolutions to mediate shortages
Manage material and labor variances to meet established standards including proposing resolutions to mediate shortfalls
Responsible for all project outcomes of assigned unit/group of employees
Other incidental duties: Document owner for assigned product line assembly procedures; May guide and mentor entry level supervisors

Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree with internship or substantial technical knowledge and experience in assigned work area and sufficient experience in related manufacturing quality and/or product development engineering with skill levels exceeding the requirements of the Supervisor II required or
Other: Diploma 10 years of relevant experience required and
Other: 4 years of previous related experience with full responsibility for all personnel including hire/fire authority and handling all aspects of employee relations in manufacturing quality and/or product development engineering required and
Experience working in a medical device industry preferred

Additional Skills:
Proven project management expertise
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g. pandemic protocols Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system preferably JDE
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills; possessing strong collaboration skills in partnering with cross functional stakeholders in order to achieve objectives as well as mediating and negotiating the needs of other areas to achieve consensus
Full understanding of manufacturing procedures while applying acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent
Ability to analyze and adjust line/operation layouts to improve efficiency
Full understanding of all aspects of processes and equipment used across areas of responsibility
Ability to work and excel within a fast paced dynamic and constantly changing work environment
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six Sigma
Must be able to promote and work in an inter-departmental team environment
Successful completion of ongoing job training of manufacturing process steps
Strict attention to detail in regards to work orders scheduling and documentation
