Smart Ship Hub is looking for a high-energy commercially-minded Senior Manager Sales to join our Singapore team. This role is at the intersection of maritime ecosystem and digital transformation focusing on delivering our AI-powered high-frequency sensor backed vessel performance and health monitoring asset management solutions to leading ship owners operators charterers and the connected stake holders in maritime value chain.

As a Manager of Sales you won’t just be selling a technology platform; you’ll be helping the maritime industry navigate towards a more efficient transparent and sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new business opportunities within the Singapore and APAC maritime hubs focusing on ship owners managers and charterers.
  • Solution Selling: Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to understand client pain points (e.g. fuel inefficiency maintenance downtime CII compliance) and demonstrate how the Smart Ship Hub platform solves them.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales lifecycle—from initial prospecting and technical demos to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with C-level executives Technical Directors and Fleet Managers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to provide market feedback and ensure client requirements are met.
  • Individual Contribution: Must be able to drive sales and achieve double digital M $ sales figures.

Desired Skillset

To thrive in this role you must be a "hunter" with a deep understanding of the maritime ecosystem. We are looking for:

  • Experience: Minimum 10 – 12 years of experience in B2B sales with at least 5 years specifically within the maritime industry (shipping maritime tech or marine services). Must have deep connections & relationships demonstratable relationships with the C suites in maritime industry. Experience of working in a rapid scale up environment is desirable.
  • Network: An existing network of contacts with the decision makers among ship owners managers charterers in Singapore and nearby region is a must highly preferred. Should have worked closely with decision makers and significant relationships at CXO level. Must be ready to travel globally.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to discuss IoT SaaS and data analytics comfortably with technical stakeholders. Thorough understanding of digital platforms disruptive tech for maritime and creating value change.
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills; you should be able to tell a compelling story with an ability to write winning contracts customer success stories reference case studies that attracts customer attention.
  • Self-Starter: A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced high-growth stage environment.
  • Target Oriented: Must have prior experience and shall demonstrate the ability on target-based revenue closures. Must understand customer and sales closure cycles from EMEA regions.
