Job Summary

Admissions Manager

Half Time - Flexible hours

King David High School is a leading Jewish independent school committed to academic excellence Jewish values and community engagement. We are seeking a creative strategic and highly organized Admissions Manager to lead and elevate the schools admissions program. The Admissions Manager serves as the first point of contact for prospective families ensuring a warm organized and professional experience from initial inquiry through enrolment. This role manages the day-to-day operations of the admissions process and supports the schools mission.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Head of School in working to ensure continuous improvement in admissions process and manage the recruitment enrollment and retention of students.
Design and implement a comprehensive strategic plan of admissions of new students to the school.
Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment.
Present the school to prospective students and parents which includes systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with candidates and their parents; tours of the institution; interviews with candidates and their parents; securing of necessary student credentials; and communicating final decisions to the appropriate individuals.
Initiate and create activities intended to interest parents and potential supporters in sending students to King David.
Promote good relationships and create networking opportunities and support for representatives with outside institutions or groups (schools synagogues other Jewish institutions etc.) that can be helpful in attracting quality students.
Manage the re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year with consistent monitoring of attrition and retention.
Keep relevant statistics on all aspects of the admission and re-enrollment program.
Participate in and assist with admissions events including in-person and online open houses local marketing events parent events student orientations

Qualifications & Experience

Post-secondary education and 3 years of experience in admissions in independent schools
Strong writing editing storytelling skills
Experience with analytics tools Microsoft Office and/or Google Docs

Sensitivity to Jewish values culture and community; familiarity with Jewish education is an asset.
