Job Summary
MISSION:
We are looking for a Senior accountant who is responsible for end-to-end financial closing & reporting and performs detailed reviews & analysis while ensuring compliance with regulatory accounting and internal governance requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own end-to-end finance scopes for Coface Singapore Branch
- Regulatory requirement submission Support Finance Manager to prepare Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) reporting submission and ensure compliance with MAS reporting requirements and internal control policies
- Month-end closing Prepare general ledger journal entries reconciliations and closing activities with support of Shared service team
- Audit & tax requirement Coordinate closely with external auditor & tax firm to ensure completion of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and tax filings in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Internal audit compliance risk management Be a level 1 control owner for Coface Singapore Branch and collaborate with internal auditor compliance officer and risk manager
- Provide guidance and review work of junior team members and Shared service team
- Adhere to Cofaces core value Client focus; Expertise; Courage & accountability; Collaboration
- Support finance manager to drive Operational excellence initiative - continuously driving process improvement simplification & efficiency with close collaboration with Shared Service Center team in Bangalore
- Live ONE SEA & INDIA finance team vision support & strongly collaborate with other finance team members; display positive mindset.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in business or finance or accounting
- CPA Australia certification or ACCA certification or CA Singapore certification is a prerequisite
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting or audit
- Audit experience from Big 4 is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with relevant audit or accounting experience from multi-national corporations (MNCs) are also encouraged to apply
- Experience in Insurance or financial services industry and/or Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) reporting submission is an added advantage
