We are partnering with a leading equipment manufacturer to appoint a Johor-based Production Manager (HOD) to oversee and elevate end-to-end manufacturing operations in Malaysia. This role is accountable for driving site performance across production quality cost delivery and safety while leading the site through continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives to support long-term business growth.

Responsibilities:
Direct and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations to optimise site performance ensuring production quality cost delivery and safety targets are consistently achieved.
Lead the manufacturing site through continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Kaizen Six Sigma or equivalent) driving productivity gains waste reduction and process standardization in a high-mix customized production environment.
Provide strong on-site leadership to motivate and develop teams fostering a culture of accountability operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Establish and enforce policies standards and operating guidelines across productivity quality cost control regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
Actively participate as a member of the site leadership team contributing to strategic planning operational problem-solving and decision-making.
Oversee all operations support functions to ensure alignment with manufacturing objectives and business goals.
Review and interpret technical drawings specifications and engineering documentation to support manufacturing feasibility process improvements quality troubleshooting and change management.
Implement robust performance management systems to track and analyze KPIs related to productivity cost yield throughput and revenue.
Establish and maintain safety security and training programs ensuring full compliance with regulatory corporate and customer requirements.
Requirements:
8-12 years of manufacturing experience within the electronics or related manufacturing industry (High mix-low volume environment preferred)
Proven experience in a leadership role with a track record of leading site-wide continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives in a manufacturing environment with limited automation and high product customization.
Strong ability to read understand and apply technical drawings and engineering documentation in manufacturing and process optimization contexts.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Strong leadership people management and stakeholder engagement skills capable of building and leading high-performing teams.
Highly organized with strong project management capabilities able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
