Intern as DevOpsCloud Engineer part time for student

We are CX BI and part of Oracle Applications Labs the team that builds and runs Oracles corporate systems. We have two missions: showcase Oracle products and services including AI capabilities through internal systems development that run in our public Cloud and implementing solutions for our internal needs.

We use all the latest modern web technologies for mobile and desktop from Oracle JET to Java various AI platform services all running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to provide the best Cloud customer experience possible.

What we need

At CX BI our DevOps virtual team supports various development teams (frontend backend BI BigData and AI) in building the next generation of Oracles customer success management system a pure internet system and supporting data lake / AI platform-based solutions. We are looking for an ambitious talented energetic and self-motivated DevOps/Cloud Engineer Intern.

In this role you will be immersed in and exposed to the complex infrastructure hosting the Customer Success Platform components and their integration as Oracle cloud subscription data travels to multiple systems from its inception.

You will be part of this world-class DevSecOps engineering team from day one and should be capable of building secure infrastructure and Oracle policy compliant CI/CD workflows for the entire technical stack right from infrastructure to the end services which is highly scalable and efficient in all possible aspects.

What you will be doing

• Acquiring the necessary skills to efficiently work with OCI cloud and related tools

• Being part of a DevSecOps team which develop and operate a cloud native solution

• Supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of AI integration within traditional DevOps environments.

• Helping with daily operational tasks including managing different infrastructure elements in OCI or patching them

• Improving existing code quality

• Troubleshooting various infrastructure issues in test environments

• Supporting development teams in technical issues and testing

• Enhancing existing monitoring and notification functions to be able to address possible issues proactively

• Working with Technologies and tools like: Terraform Ansible Bash Python JQ Oracle SQL CL Podman Kubernetes Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS PaaS) Git OpenSearch Grafana Prometheus and many morewith the help of Oracle Code Assist

Requirements

• Basic understanding of infrastructure management and networking

• Experience in Linux systems and tooling understanding GIT basics

• Familiarity with AI-powered coding tools and a foundational understanding of how to use Generative AI to streamline development tasks.

• Ability to learn experiment and work independently from/based on sources in English

• Ability to collaborate with a small team in English

Optional

• Experience in DevOps Cloud native like AWS Azure GCP or OCI

• Knowledge of DevOps related cloud-native application deployment and operations

• Familiar with Infrastructure as Code technologies: Terraform/Ansible

• Familiar with tools and languages like: Python SQL (Oracle) Bash JQ

• Knowledge of container technologies like Podman and Kubernetes

• Having experience with relational (e.g. Oracle) and NoSQL (e.g. OpenSearch) databases
