Advanced Youth Offending Service Officer
Job Summary
- They will oversee a caseload of children and young people subject to both out-of-court disposals and statutory court orders adhering to National Standards and the HMIP Inspection Framework. This role emphasizes a Child First Offender Second approach delivering effective trauma-informed interventions to support children in completing their orders and leading crime-free lives.
- Manage a caseload of youth justice cases including out-of-court disposals and statutory orders in line with National Standards and HMIP expectations.
- Apply the Child First Offender Second principles throughout assessment planning and intervention.
- Use AssetPlus to complete high-quality assessments plans and reviews incorporating trauma-informed practice desistance theories and foundations for change.
- Ensure timely accurate and comprehensive recording of all casework activity.
- Experience working with children and young people involved in or at risk of entering the youth justice system.
- Proven experience in case management delivering interventions or working within statutory or safeguarding frameworks.
- Relevant qualification in Youth Justice Social Work Probation Criminology Youth Work or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Working hours: 36 hours per week
- Location: Station Road Ilford Greater London IG6 1NB United Kingdom
- Minimum of three days in the office
- DBS is essential
