The Director of Enterprise Technology & Operations sets the strategic direction for enterprise infrastructure platforms and operational services across Nebraska Medicine and UNMC. This role oversees multiple teams and functions ensuring alignment of IT strategy with organizational goals for patient care education and research. Owns the vision reliability and lifecycle of core technology servicesincluding data centers servers networking cloud telecom and NOC/SOC operationsmanaging portfolios and investments to deliver secure resilient and scalable solutions. Acting as an enterprise leader this position influences senior leadership and executives to drive innovation operational excellence and continuous improvement in technology delivery.
Required Qualifications: Director Enterprise Technology & Operations
Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in Enterprise Technology engineering including large complex multisite environments required.
Minimum of 5 years leading technical teams with 247 operational accountability required.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience required.
Handson expertise with enterprise technology and operations required.
Demonstrated mastery of ITIL processes (incident change problem) and service reporting required.
Strong vendor management and budgeting experience required.
Preferred Qualifications: Director Enterprise Technology & Operations
Healthcare delivery organization & higher education/research experience and familiarity with clinical communications preferred.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or equivalent ITIL PMP preferred.
Experience in leading large-scale infrastructure modernization projects including cloud migration and hybrid architecture preferred.
Operational leadership of NOC/SOC functions ensuring high availability and incident response preferred.
Vendor and contract negotiation experience including managed services and strategic partnerships preferred.
