Were a lean team thats expanding quickly and were looking for someone who believes in our vision to shift the way people experience scents.

The Role:

Snif is looking for a Director of Social Media to define grow and lead our multi-channel social presence across TikTok Instagram YouTube and supplemental platforms. This role owns how Snif shows up on social media - from strategy and storytelling to execution and cultural relevance.

As social is often a customers first touchpoint with Snif its critical that our presence sets the tone and reflects our core brand values while pushing boundaries to deliver engaging standout content. Youll set the vision develop a compelling and distinctive content strategy and continuously evolve our platform approach to make Snif impossible to ignore in-feed. Social at Snif isnt just about posting or conversion - its a creative engine that translates the brands personality educates our audience and drives awareness.

This is a high-visibility role for a confident leader who is imaginative culturally fluent organized and analytically sharp. You will manage a mix of full-time and contract team members to execute content creation community engagement reporting and more. This role reports directly to the Chief Brand Officer and partners closely with Creative Marketing Sales and CX teams.

What Youll Do:

    • Social Strategy & Creative Development:
    • Define and own Snifs social strategy across TikTok Instagram YouTube Facebook Pinterest and emerging platforms for both Snif and cologne sub-brand Notewrks
    • Establish content pillars creative frameworks channel-specific tactics and posting cadence
    • Lead ideation and planning for our social calendar balancing company-wide objectives with content that is fun witty educational and culturally relevant
    • Act as Snifs cultural filter - spotting trends early and deciding whats worth engaging with (and whats not)

    • Structure & Team Management:
    • Manage and grow Snifs in-house and contract social teams
    • Set clear roles workflows and standards to drive consistency and quality
    • Foster a culture of creativity experimentation accountability and speed
    • Be hands-on when needed while maintaining a strategic big-picture view

    • Channel Planning Execution & Engagement:
    • Own Snifs social platforms end-to-end including publishing optimization and performance
    • Build scalable systems for content ideation production posting and reporting
    • Evaluate and manage social tools digital platforms and third-party vendors
    • Ensure external partners support speed and scale without diluting brand voice or quality

    • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Serve as the social expert and point of view internally
    • Partner closely with Creative Marketing CX and Operations teams to create cohesion and deliver a seamless experience
    • Partner with Retail and Sales team to develop compelling content that drives in-store engagement and conversion
    • Develop agile processes for real-time moments cultural reactions and risk management

    • Analytics Insights & Optimization:
    • Build and own a strong analytics and insights discipline across platforms
    • Use performance data and cultural insights to guide creative decisions and prioritization
    • Maintain clear reporting dashboards for leadership visibility
    • Continuously test learn and optimize creative cadence and platform strategy

What Youll Bring:

    • 8 years of experience leading social strategy content digital storytelling and community engagement
    • Proven success building or reinventing social for disruptive creative lead brands
    • Experience growing and managing social teams in fast-paced environments
    • Deep understanding of TikTok Instagram YouTube and emerging platforms - including algorithms formats and cultural nuance
    • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs Sheets Slides Drive Calendar) for collaboration documentation and reporting
    • The ability to write with wit charm and personality - knowing when to be funny when to be smart and when to keep it simple
    • Experience with productivity and knowledge-management tools
    • Expertise in social listening planning and reporting platforms
    • Comfortable organizing maintaining and streamlining digital workflows across multiple tools
    • Strong ownership mentality and comfort navigating ambiguity in a startup environment
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
    • Curiosity rigor and a desire to continuously improve processes and outputs

Bonus Points:

    • Proven success at a fast-paced startup in the in beauty fragrance or personal care space
    • Passion for scented products including fragrance body care candles or laundry
    • Ability to work in Adobe Suite or other design and video editing software
    • Experience with Notion and Archive
