As Right of Way Inspector II you will:
Inspect Right-of-Way Projects: Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with City standards and ordinances; monitor and re-inspect projects to enforce compliance. Prepare detailed reports with photos and videos documenting project progress.
Review Traffic Control Plans: Approve traffic control plans to confirm safety measures and proper detours for vehicle traffic.
Evaluate Construction Plans: Assess approved construction and improvement plans for adherence to City guidelines and determine corrective actions when needed. Recommend and implement field modifications in coordination with senior inspectors.
Resolve Compliance Issues: Investigate complaints related to public right-of-way; issue citations notices stop-work orders or summonses as necessary.
Material Testing Oversight: Supervise concrete and soil testing; review results and require corrections to meet standards before project approval.
Lead Pre-Construction Meetings: Provide guidance on engineering standards right-of-way specifications and safety requirements.
Respond to Public Inquiries: Address citizen complaints and provide updates regarding construction activities.

Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of experience inspecting construction projects to ensure compliance with specific plans and standards. Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
License/Certifications: This job requires driving. Requires a valid Drivers License at the time of application. Requires Traffic Control Technician certification by ATSSA or equivalent agency (approved by Manager) within one year of hire. Requires Traffic Control Supervisor certification by ATSSA or equivalent agency (approved by Manager) within two years of hire. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
