Role Overview:

Orbit International Survey Services LLC (Orbit ISS) is seeking an experienced QC Electrical Inspector to support Third-Party Inspection (TPI) and testing activities in Dallas Texas USA for industrial and offshore-related projects. Candidates must be currently based in the United States preferably in Dallas Texas. The role focuses on electric overhead crane electrical inspections Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and static and dynamic load testing ensuring full compliance with U.S. codes project specifications and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect electric overhead crane electrical systems including motors control panels limit switches brakes interlocks and safety devices.
Conduct and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) in accordance with approved ITPs test procedures and client requirements.
Perform and verify static and dynamic load testing of overhead cranes and lifting equipment in line with applicable standards.
Review electrical drawings schematics wiring diagrams datasheets and vendor documentation prior to inspection.
Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. standards and regulations including OSHA NFPA 70 (NEC) ASME B30 and CMAA specifications.
Identify non-conformances issue NCRs and verify implementation of corrective actions.
Coordinate inspection activities with vendors contractors QA/QC teams and client representatives.
Prepare and submit inspection reports FAT reports load test reports and certification documentation.
Maintain accurate inspection records in accordance with Orbit ISS Quality Management System requirements.

Requirements

Associate or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical Technology or related discipline.
35 years of experience as a QC Electrical Inspector or similar role involving overhead cranes.
Proven experience in FAT inspections and crane load testing.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations NFPA 70 (NEC) ASME B30 series and CMAA standards.
Strong understanding of crane electrical systems control logic and safety requirements.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings schematics and technical documentation.
Good reporting communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate Requirements:

Candidate must be currently based in the United States preferably in Dallas Texas or willing to work within the U.S. without relocation support.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Prior experience with Third-Party Inspection (TPI) activities is strongly preferred.
Experience interfacing with clients vendors and certification bodies in a TPI environment is an advantage.
