The Opportunity:
As an Insurance Development Consultant you will be responsible for working with advisors in a specific territory to help grow their insurance and segregated fund business. You will partner with our Advisory Services field team members and Wholesalers from our insurance carrier partners to deliver support and service to our MSII advisors.
Together you are responsible for developing strong working relationships with existing insurance advisors as well as cultivating new relationships always with the goal of promoting client centric solutions that grow individual life & living benefit insurance sales at Manulife Securities Insurance.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic individual with a sales focus excellent communication skills strong work ethic and a competitive aim to succeed. They have individual insurance experience are coachable and collaborative.
Responsibilities:
Directly responsible for handling and supporting the growth of insurance and segregated fund business with select advisors in a defined sales territory
Establish positive and productive business relationships with advisors by providing proactive communication applying the MSII value proposition to their practice and facilitating resolution of complex and escalated issues
Applying excellent sales knowledge and insurance expertise engage advisors in insurance planning and support with the goal of increasing the number of advisors consistently selling insurance as part of their practice
Provide advice on client cases product solutions and case preparation support to advisors
Demonstrate your product and carrier knowledge to provide insurance quotes and illustration requests within stated 24 hour turnaround time. Make valuable contributions by providing advice on carrier/product selection.
Partner with Regional Directors to implement insurance growth strategies with specific advisor offices
Assist with administrative support for the submission of insurance applications
Promote and implement the components of the MSII value proposition to help advisors grow their business
Partner with MSII team and our carrier partners to support our advisors
Qualifications:
At least 2 years individual life insurance/sales experience
LLQP designation preferred (or in process)
College or University degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Familiarity with Microsoft Office including intermediate level of experience using Excel
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work with shifting priorities and tight deadlines

Salary range is expected to be between
$51975.00 CAD - $86625.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location please contact for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training.
