New Zealand Police is progressing a multiyear renewal of our core Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) systems. We are now preparing the Detailed Business Case for Phase 2 which will replace our Finance and Purchasing systems.

Were seeking a Senior Business Analyst who can bring strong analytical capability excellent stakeholder engagement and experience navigating complex business processes. Knowledge of the AoG Common Process Model and Treasurys Better Business Case methodology is highly advantageous.

Phase 1 of the ERM Programme (HR Payroll and Workforce Management) already has an established BA teamthis role will work closely with them to ensure alignment across both phases.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to clarify the current state pain points and business challenges.
  • Support the development of the Strategic Case and the case for change.
  • Help the organisation understand the AoG Common Process Model and relevant bestpractice guidelines.
  • Identify and define functional requirements across Finance Purchasing Manager and Employee SelfService and Analytics & Reporting.
  • Contribute to a shared view of the future state and the benefits it offers.
  • Partner with the Benefits Analyst to identify quantify and model efficiencies benefits and improvements.
  • Collaborate with the broader BA team and programme stakeholders to ensure crossphase alignment.

Were looking for a Senior BA who is confident engaging at all levels proactive in planning and delivery and ideally brings domain experience in Finance ERP or complex system environments.

You will bring:

  • 10 years experience in Data & Analytics including 5 years leading multidisciplinary teams on large programmes (SAP experience preferred).
  • Proven delivery across SAP data domains and tools.
  • Strong PMO discipline including vendor and contract management.
  • Handson experience with data governance MDM and compliance frameworks.
  • Expertise in KPI frameworks semantic modelling and dashboard design.
  • Strategic thinking combined with disciplined delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated people leadership and capability development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complexity for diverse audiences.

Utu ā-tau Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $111529 and $147022 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
