Summary

This vacancy will be used to fill openings at any facility within the Community Recreation Division on Fort Bragg NC.

Incentives and Bonuses

Work Schedule
  • Flexible position - Minimum workweek of 0-40 hours and not eligible for benefits.
  • Regular Part-Time position - Minimum workweek of 20 hours and eligible for benefits.
  • Regular Full-Time position - Minimum workweek of 40 hours and eligible for benefits.
Army NAF paysetting rules apply to this vacancy.

Duties

  • Works as an assistant for the Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes specific assignments explains policies and procedures and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects.
  • Job may require work in various facilities depending on requirements as determined by customer demand or programmed activities.
  • Cleans recreation equipment supplies and facility area.; operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment.
  • Polices interior and exterior areas of building and grounds and performs general housekeeping to make facilities/playing fields/pools/outdoor courts ready for use.
  • Monitors inventories and number and condition of items on hand. Coordinates with program staff to ensure adequate equipment is available in sufficient time to conduct program activities.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Ability to work an irregular schedule which may include nights weekends holidays and split-shifts.

  1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties described above.
  2. Must have and retain a valid drivers license.

  • This job is open to candidates who is within the Local / Surrounding Commuting Area. NOTE: Local / Surrounding Commuting area is defines as within 50 miles of Fort. Bragg. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) will not be paid.
