Our Young Person Resilience Workers play an integral role within Change Grow Live engaging young people in a range of interventions using a young person-centred approach and empowering our young service users to reduce risk increase resilience and lead a safe happy and healthy lives.
Where: Hornchurch
Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: 27861.26- 32002.35*
Contract Type: Fixed term until 30th June 2026.
* Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Connect with young people experiencing substance use issues offering them guidance support and structured interventions.
- Provide advocacy and support for young people by actively participating in all relevant multi-agency meetings.
- Collaborate with prescribing clinicians to enhance social functioning through support for substitute prescribing regimes when necessary.
- Stay attentive to and address potential safeguarding concerns promptly and effectively.
- Cultivate a nurturing comprehensive environment aimed at fostering positive health and well-being outcomes.
To thrive in this role we welcome individuals who have:
- Experience in substance use intervention.
- Experience of working with young people.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal coupled with strong IT proficiency
- Proactive autonomous excellent time management and priority setting abilities
- Proficiency in mental health interventions and practices
- A collaborative supportive team player with robust interpersonal skills
- Champion for change putting the needs of service users at the forefront
- Committed to information governance processes and ensuring safeguards are followed
