Family Support Worker / Early Help Practitioner
Summary
- The Family Support Worker / Early Help Practitioner is a vital role within a local authority offered on a 3-month contract. This position focuses on delivering high-quality child-focused early help interventions to children young people and families. The primary aim is to provide timely and tailored support to prevent the need for escalation to statutory services.
- Complete comprehensive whole-family assessments using the organisations assessment and planning framework.
- Develop high-quality SMART plans in collaboration with children young people and families.
- Identify strengths needs risks and desired outcomes for each family.
- Ensure the childs voice and best interests remain central to all planning and decision-making.
Essential Experience
- Experience providing support to children young people and families with complex or emerging needs.
- Experience conducting assessments and delivering targeted family interventions.
- Experience coordinating multi-agency support and partnership working.
- Experience keeping accurate case records and working within safeguarding frameworks.
Essential Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years Social Care Youth Work Education Health or a related field.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 36 hours per week
- Location: 44 York Street Twickenham Greater London TW1 3BW United Kingdom
- The role requires an enhanced DBS.
- Payment schedule: Bi-weekly
