PERM - Experienced Social Worker Children Looked After
Summary
- This position is within the children looked after team which is crucial for managing cases of children under the care of the local authority. The team handles cases involving children subject to full care orders or those in care proceedings ensuring their safety and well-being through comprehensive care planning and intervention.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of children and families in accordance with statutory responsibilities and local procedures.
- Conduct assessments care planning reviews and interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- Utilize evidence-based practice and the Signs of Safety model to inform decision-making and achieve positive outcomes.
- Identify and assess risk developing robust plans to safeguard children at risk of harm.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a qualified social worker within childrens social care.
- Experience managing a caseload and delivering statutory social work functions.
- Experience working within multi-agency settings and building effective professional partnerships.
- Experience using strength-based and relationship-based practice models.
- Experience working with children and families experiencing complex challenging and high-risk situations.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work DipSW CQSW or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Ability to evidence continuous professional development (CPD).

- Location: 2nd Floor Nutgrove Villa Westmorland Road Huyton Merseyside L36 6GA United Kingdom
- Work pattern: Typically expected to be in the office 3 days per week
- Working Pattern: Full Time/Part Time
- Hours: Up to 36 hours per week
- DBS Check: Enhanced
- Payment Schedule: Bi-weekly
