Nursery Teacher – Greenwich

We are seeking a nurturing enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive early years setting within a primary school in Greenwich starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood development and committed to providing young children with a positive and engaging start to their education.

As a Nursery Teacher you will be responsible for delivering high-quality early years provision aligned with the EYFS framework. You will create a balance of structured learning and play-based experiences that support childrens social emotional physical and academic development. Building strong relationships with children and families will be central to your role.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan deliver and assess engaging nursery sessions in line with the EYFS framework

• Create a safe nurturing and stimulating learning environment

• Support childrens development across all areas of learning

• Use observation and assessment to track progress and inform planning

• Differentiate activities to meet the needs of all children including SEND and EAL

• Promote positive behaviour routines and independence

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and Early Years staff

• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers

• Maintain accurate learning journals records and assessments

• Contribute to EYFS planning moderation and whole-school initiatives

• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an EYFS teaching qualification

• Have experience teaching in Nursery or Early Years

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework

• Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic

• Have excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills

• Be creative reflective and adaptable

• Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
