Job Summary

Summary

This position is located at MWR Intramural Sports on Fort Carson.

Duties

  • Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides oversight of events and tournaments.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
  • Monitors condition of cleans and performs minor maintenance on athletics equipment. Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy.
  • Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assistants with publicity of events and tournaments and assists with the delivery and placement of posters flyers and other promotional material.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Conditions of employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid CPR and AED within one year of employment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
  • Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking and must be able to work in settings where exposure to moderate discomforts may exist.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include early mornings late nights weekends and holidays.
  • Health and immunizations are required.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
2. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid CPR and AED.

HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry.
2. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid CPR and AED.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid contingent upon eligibility.
