THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32) Position Description Number NGD1177000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard.
This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT) Chapter 103 (Volunteer Chapter).
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST GS you will develop implement and evaluate the logistic policies for the organization. Ensure compliance with the command supply discipline program command maintenance discipline program and other-directed command inspection programs. Provide guidance and funds management for all decentralized logistic funds. May be required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the
community. Provide technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel
pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization. Perform other duties as assigned.
Military Grades: E-6 through E-7
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:Must have experience education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months of specialized experience education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience education or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e. supply maintenance quality assurance facilities). Experience planning and organizing work assignments. Knowledge of the operational aspects of equipment authorized for the organization and authorized substitutes sufficient to advise senior leadership on the mission degradation resulting from limited availability of authorized equipment. Knowledge of supply regulations and directives sufficient to establish organization management policies and procedures.

In lieu of specialized experience you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience provided it demonstrates the knowledge skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: possess a masters or equivalent graduate degree LL.B J.D. or have completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
GS-09 COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
