**Teaching Assistant: 11.25 hours per week Monday Friday 1pm - 3.15pm.
Freeman Community Primary Schoolis looking to appoint a caring and motivated Pastoral Support and Teaching Assistant to support children across the whole must be able to support all staff across the school in addition to working with individuals and small groups of children. You will also support children and families in overcoming barriers to learning and promote welfare attendance and well-being of all pupils. Through doing this you will assist children withtheir learning and pastoral needs enabling them to achievethe work set by the class teacher and deliver intervention and support programmes. Experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential as support and training will be put in place for the successful candidate.
Freeman Community Primary School is a successful happy caring community of 197 children in the village of Stowupland near Stowmarket. We are part of the Childrens Endeavour Trust as one of eight primary schools across the Stowmarket and Ipswich areas. The Childrens Endeavour Trust allows for opportunities to network with colleagues in different schools to support professional development for all staff across the trust.
You will:
be positive patient kind and caring
be flexible and enthusiastic in your approach to the childrens and schools needs
have high expectations of childrens behaviour and achievements
possess good literacy and numeracy skills (at least GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent)
demonstrate a high regard for safeguarding procedures
demonstrate initiative and the ability to communicate well with teaching staff pupils and parents.
