Position Summary The Director of Laboratory is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the laboratory department to meet organizational goals. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care operational excellence regulatory compliance and continuous improvement through strategic planning staff management and evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement departmental strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.

Oversee laboratory operations ensuring efficiency accuracy and high-quality patient care.

Manage mentor and evaluate laboratory staff to foster professional growth and maintain engagement.

Monitor departmental budgets resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
-
Ensure compliance with federal state and accreditation standards (e.g. CLIA CAP).

Integrate evidence-based practices and innovative approaches into laboratory operations.

Collaborate with other departments to support organizational initiatives and patient-centered care.
Minimum Qualifications -
Education: Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred (equivalent experience considered).

Licensure/Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or AMT (American Medical Technologists) certification required.

Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting.
