Associate Attorney
We are seeking a driven and compassionate Associate Attorney Personal Injury to join a growing and client-focused legal practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about advocacy enjoys hands-on litigation work and wants meaningful courtroom exposure early in their career.
As an Associate Attorney you will play a key role in managing cases from pre-litigation through resolution collaborating closely with legal assistants and paralegals and serving as a trusted advocate for clients. You will be actively involved in motion practice hearings negotiations and trial preparation gaining practical experience that supports long-term professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft review and respond to motions with strong legal analysis
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda pleadings and responses
- Represent clients in hearings and court proceedings
- Negotiate with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel
- Participate in depositions and assist with trial preparation
- Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to address client concerns efficiently
Qualifications:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
- Experience drafting and responding to motions with excellent legal writing skills
- Solid understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
- Strong work ethic with a proactive results-driven mindset
- Ability to independently draft legal documents and conduct legal research
Preferred Qualifications:
- New Mexico bar admission is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates strongly preferred
- Familiarity with or ties to the Borderplex Region are desirable
