Engineering Program Manager LLM & Machine Learning

Summary
The AI & Data Platforms team is looking for a self-motivated Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead the development of next-generation Generative AI and LLM-powered solutions. You will sit at the intersection of engineering research and product driving the execution of complex ML models from initial concept to deployment for millions of users.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Execution: Lead the strategic planning and delivery of large-scale ML/LLM programs including roadmap definition resource allocation and timeline management.
Facilitate design reviews and technical brainstorming sessions. You must be able to speak the language of ML researchers and software engineers to identify architectural risks and technical blockers.
Build strong partnerships with Design Privacy Legal and Global Data teams to ensure GenAI features meet Apples rigorous standards for user experience and data ethics.
Proactively identify dependencies and mitigate risks in the rapidly evolving LLM space (e.g. compute resource contention model scalability and data quality).
Distill complex technical updates into concise actionable executive summaries for senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 5 years of experience in technical program/project management specifically leading Machine Learning or AI software development lifecycles.
Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of the ML lifecycle (data acquisition training evaluation and deployment).
Education: BS/MS in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field.
