You are a forward thinking strategic procurement leaderwho has a passion for people development MRO and capital project procurement. You will play a critical role in partnering across the company with procurement initiatives and capital projects by executing the best procurement strategy. You are a leader who can influence indirect teams and other stakeholders to maximize procurement performance.
In this roleyour primary responsibility will be to execute our MRO procurement strategy and lead product line tactical procurement performance. You will do this by aligning decentralized procurement to Operations Procurements directives Operational Excellence and Reliability improvements. To be successful in this role you will build relationships with key stakeholders communicate and partner with all levels of the organization. You will need to be involved and understand our current and upcoming capital projects along with our overall capital strategy. You will need to be in front of changes in our industry that impact our operational costs customers and products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Proven ability to negotiate and manage capital for major procurement activities and proven ability to manage complex multi-year supply/service/outsourcing contracts involving millions of dollars of spend in a specific category of expertise.
Lead support and develop tactical Procurement Team (indirect reports) in assigned product line and/or region
Working knowledge of business strategic roadmap(s)
Lead cost reduction efforts of business and various sites
Maximize sites utilization of national contracts proper processes and procurement initiatives
Support regions hiring process of buyers and material managers
Assist buyers with vendor management including conflict resolution
Provide support as technical procurement resource as required
Lead Procure to Pay processes (includes training ERP guidance and problem solving)
Have in depth understanding and application of contract laws and purchasing ethics
Work with legal and procurement leadership team to improve contract templates and contract management tools/standards
Bachelors Degree
8 years MRO procurement experience in heavy industry includes developing sourcing strategies
Experience in conflict management and resolution
5 years experience working in or leading a decentralized team
Experience in a manufacturing setting
Strong communications and analytical skills
Strong negotiation and contract writing skills
Strong experience in capital procurement
Ability to relate to and communicate with senior leaders as well as hourly associates
Strong experience in utilizing Microsoft Office suite (Excel Word Outlook Power Point etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree or above
Professional procurement accreditation (CPM or equivalent)
Intermediate knowledge of investment recovery
Intermediate knowledge of material management
Experience in wood products industry
Strong focus on safety including contractor safety
Working knowledge of SAP
What We Offer:
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program and we are targeting a salary range of $106900 - $160400 based on your level of skills qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program which offers a cash bonus targeting 15%of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation:We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of addition after being employed for six months eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
