Unit Role: Reserve Light Cavalry Regiment. To prepare suitably trained equipped and motivated officers and soldiers for operations both overseas and in the UK in support of Regular units as individuals and as contingents.
Responsibilities: 1. Administration Officer. Responsible for all Sqn administrative matters including AR Pay and control of MTDs collation of JPA Claims for Audit JPA Management checks MS (including supervision of SJARs) Community Engagement and all other office services. 2. Service Funds. As Account Holder of the Sqn Fund operate Fund in accordance with extant Managing Trustee direction and Service Funds Regulations (SFRs). 3. Sub-Unit Safety Adviser. Responsible for SHEF at Sqn level 4Cs Custodian all contractors. Responsible for implementation of Fire Safety Management Plan Legionella Management Plan. 4. Sub-Unit Security Officer. Responsible for all Security matters within Sqn both physical and IT. MoDNET Local Security Officer. Local Data Protection Adviser. 5. Sub-Unit Press Officer. Responsible for collating Sqn media articles and for LRFCA Volunteer Magazine. Liaise on CE matters and monthly returns. 6. Sub-Unit Welfare Officer. CNO/CVO trained TriM Assessor D&I (AEDA) trained. 7. Sub-Unit Employer Support Officer. Liaise with employers DRM and RFCA. Assist soldiers with employer issues. Initial notification and Annual Camp/OTX & Course letters. 8. Sub-Unit Medical Administrator. Sits on Unit Health Committee. Liaise with OHSAS and APC with regard to routine Medicals Medical Boards incl RG8 and recruiting medicals PAP10 Implementation. PAPMIS. 9. Civil Servant Line Manager - responsible for the line management of Industrial Skill Zone and non-industrial Administrative Officer. 10. Liaison with Sqn Association and Sqn Hon Col. Custodian of Association and Sqn Property 11. Ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Sqn and its staff. 11. Be prepared to work weekends and unsociable hours as directed by the CO. This is in order to support distributed mobilisation for the Very High Readiness Reservist as directed by 19X. 12. Support weekday training nights as part of normal working hours. |
