Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Flight Sergeant or Sergeant (Logistics (Any) to serve as SNCO Ops Flt Spt Cell on 501 Sqn at RAF Brize Norton on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 07 September 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

This post is responsible to OC 501 Squadron for the provision of a one-stop shop for all Ops Flt personnel in respect of administrative mobilisation tasking and training activity delivery on the Sqn to meet the roes of the unit.

Specific responsibilities of the SNCO Ops Flt Spt Cell:

a. Act as the focal point and primary POC for all information flow between the Ops Flts personnel and the HQ providing management and administrative support to personnel outside of their Duty weekends.

b. Coordination of all trawls or Reserve Support Requests for volunteers for mobilisations/taskings.

c. In conjunction with the HR Team support personnel through the mobilisations process including: pre and post deployment medicals; pre-deployment trade training; mandatory training; mobilisation brief; and arranging welfare and flt cdr interviews.

d. In conjunction with the HR Team monitor PTVR attendance and the requirements necessary for personnel to achieve the Officer Commanding Certificate of efficiency (Annual Bounty).

e. Support the generation and delivery of Duty Weekends ACT Force Development and Adventurous Training activities.

f. Collate record and monitor the following: JMES status; mandatory training; career intermissions; transfers and terminations.

g. Support the UESO with all employer engagement activity.
