Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director Communications & Mental Health Promotion the Youth Wellness Hub Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the administration program operations and financial oversight for the Youth Wellness Hub. The incumbent is also responsible for providing clinical and crisis leadership to the front-line staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Financial Performance: In partnership with the Director responsible for fiscal management that anticipates operating within the approved budget ensures maximum resource utilization and maintenance of the Youth Hub in a positive financial position.


Mission: Responsible for sustaining the Youth Hub programs that carry out the organizations mission and MOH expectations.


Operations: Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the WE Youth Hub are appropriate.

  • Hiring staff and ensuring that the process is consistent with the Collective Agreement and Branch policies and practices.
    • Responsible for the effective administration of Youth Hub operations.
    • Supervise and collaborate with Youth Hub staff.
    • operationalize the annual budget.
    • Work with and facilitate Youth and Family Advisory Groups
    • In collaboration with Steering Committee establish goals for Youth Hub
    • Monitor data stats outcomes and practices leadership using quality management concepts
    • Coordination and oversight of community partners within the Youth Hub space
    • Maintenance of community partner relationships through meetings collaboration and communication
    • Attendance in youth mental health related community meetings
  • Provides weekly on-call clinical and operational support on a rotational basis for the Agency between the hours of 1630 and 0830 on weekdays and 24 hours/day on weekends and statutory holidays.
  • Providing emergency support and leadership to staff and visitors during and after Emergency Code Events
  • Performs other duties (for which the incumbent is qualified) that support the mission/mandate of the organization and/or as assigned by the Director or CEO.

EDUCATION & SKILLS:

  • An Undergraduate Degree in a health-related discipline is degree preferred. Registered member in good standing of a professional college deemed relevant by the employer such as the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) the College of Psychotherapy or the Colleges of Nurses of Ontario is required.
  • Three (3) years recent relevant experience working with vulnerable populations including those experiencing mental illness. Experience working with youth ages 12 to 25 is preferred. Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience. Experience in a unionized environment and bilingual in French will be considered assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with people in a variety of levels and types of organizations including with senior leaders and front-line Exceptional collaborative leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to engage inspire coach and sustain high value contributions. Proven financial analytical and writing skills.

Hours of Work: Thirty-Five (35) hour work week. The regular hours of operation of the Youth Wellness Hub are Monday to Friday 11:00AM to 7:00PM. Flexible hours and availability is required to meet client and service needs.

Salary range: $66767.00-81885.00 annually.

This salary range represents Steps 1 through Job Rate for Band 4 and is inclusive to the maximum earning potential of this role. Compensation within the range will be based on the experience of the incumbent.

Compensation includes a competitive and comprehensive Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) vacation and sick leave package.
