$31.36 -$32.21/hr plus 12% super

The Opportunity

Brisbane Private Hospital Administration Services team have a new opportunity for an experienced Administration Officer to join our friendly and supportive Theatres team on a full time basis.

Working with our theatre staff we are seeking a full time team member who will be accountable for a variety of administrative duties. Key functions include:

  • Provide clerical support to the Peri Operative Services Manager and Operating Theatre NUM
  • Organise meetings and scheduling of appointments in the Peri Operative Managers calendar.
  • Direct phone calls to the appropriate line managers
  • Trouble shoot any IT issues.
  • Liaise with the Executive assistant with payroll quires and staffing confirms
  • Report repairs to maintenance/biomend department
  • First point of contact for Agency Staff/VMO/Medical Representatives/Couriers
  • Coordinate Agenda items for General Theatre Meetings and also taking minutes
  • Communication with internal and external customers with any concerns
  • Complete other tasks as required by the NUM

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery orthopaedics spinal plastics urology ENT Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbanes leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.

About You

To be successful in your application you will:

Have relevant qualifications or comparative experience (desirable)

Commit to our Safe Values

Have demonstrable experience in health fund checks & IFC (desirable)

Be comfortable with a competing priorities

Previous experience in a Theatre environment- desirable

Excellent communication skills

Outstanding customer service skills

High level organization skills and attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions and take directions as required
