The Utility Worker Retail is responsible for performing general custodial duties to maintain Goodwill Retail store environment standards. This position provides a clean and safe environment for internal and external customers and donors.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Contribute to the Goodwill Mission by providing clean and safe environment for internal and external customers and donors. Responsible for performing general custodial duties to maintain Goodwill Retail store environment standards.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Efficiently completes the tasks on the daily monthly or annual cleaning checklist as assigned.
2. Assists in the donation center or in the store/outlet to provide additional coverage.
3. Communicates to store management about any maintenance issues need for supplies and suggests ideas for process improvement.
4. Places product and supplies in the correct area according to store/outlet environment standards.
5. Responsible for properly cleaning restrooms windows and doors dusting vacuuming emptying trash and floor care including sweeping mopping and using a scrubber.
6. Operates equipment and/or machinery correctly safely and responsibly.
7. Maintain the store environment standards to ensure a clean friendly and safe environment for all internal & external customers.
8. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Custodial experience preferred.
2. Work varied schedule and flexible hours.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:

3. Able to lift push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
4. Able to grasp merchandise.
5. Able to visually observe merchandise.
6. Able to hear and to respond to internal paging system and warning devices on custodial equipment and forklifts.
When determining placement within the salary range for this position Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago considers education experience internal equity market demands and other qualifying criteria. It is not typical for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the rage for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on facts and circumstances of each case.
