Reporting into the Regional Marketing Manager for NZ your role as the Marketing Manager at Westfield St Lukes is to inspire and deliver exceptional customer experiences every day. You will do this by engaging and connecting with customers and the local community assisting the Centre Marketing team to execute best-in-class activations and campaigns partnering closely with retailers and using customer performance and market insights to influence key asset and commercial decisions.
Our marketing team activates our Westfield destinations to proactively connect with our communities and create engaging memorable experiences for customers. This includes designing and delivering unique events and experiences working with community organisations and strategic partners creating compelling digital and content-led storytelling managing social and owned channels and partnering with retailers to market their brands to Westfield customers.
With a strong focus on event management end-to-end campaign delivery data-informed strategy omnichannel execution and relationship management this role is ideal for a forward thinker with a passion for retail destinations and customer experience.
This is a full-time permanent role based at Westfield St Lukes.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Developing the Centres annual Marketing Plan informed by customer insights performance data and commercial objectives and overseeing flawless execution of key marketing campaigns (including coordination of all stakeholders).
- Coaching leading and developing a Marketing Executive direct report fostering a high-performance and innovative culture.
- Managing the centre marketing budget ensuring strong financial discipline and measurable return on investment.
- Leading the centre communications and content strategy across owned earned and bought channels ensuring a consistent brand narrative and strong storytelling.
- Planning and delivering an annual Centre events and activations program with a focus on customer experience community connection safety compliance and operational excellence.
- Leveraging customer data research and campaign performance metrics (e.g. foot traffic engagement sales uplift) to evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve outcomes.
- Driving retailer engagement through regular communication collaboration and co-funded marketing initiatives aligned to retailer trading cycles and commercial objectives.
- Supporting PR and media opportunities particularly through building and maintaining strong local media relationships.
- Working effectively with agencies and external suppliers to deliver high-quality creative assets content and services on time and on budget.
- Presenting marketing strategies insights and performance results to internal and external stakeholders aligning activity to centre KPIs and broader business objectives.
- Collaborating closely with centre management operations leasing and customer experience teams to deliver integrated omnichannel activations and campaigns.
- Actively engaging with new initiatives platforms and technologies identifying opportunities to innovate test learn and continuously improve marketing processes and outcomes.
- Performing all Duty Manager requirements on a rotating weekend and evening roster with the Centre Management Leadership Team including assuming responsibility for Chief Warden duties during emergencies and providing leadership to ensure a safe secure and exceptional customer experience.

- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing Business or a related discipline.
- Hands-on marketing management experience including experience leading and developing teams.
- A marketing professional who can confidently articulate the marketing strategy present insights and performance results and bring stakeholders on the journey.
- Strong skills across communication brand management event and experiential marketing customer experience digital and social marketing content and storytelling media and PR research and analysis and negotiation.
- Experience with data-led decision making including campaign measurement performance reporting and translating insights into actionable strategy.
- Exposure to CRM loyalty programs audience segmentation or EDM strategy is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of consumer behaviour and retail trading dynamics with the ability to align marketing activity to commercial outcomes.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in execution.
- A proactive can-do attitude with integrity resilience and adaptability in a 7-day-a-week dynamic retail environment.
- A genuine passion for the retail and destination sector with an interest in creating places that are meaningful to their communities.
