Job Summary

This is a hybrid role with consideration given to candidates within commutable distance of the Sizewell C in Suffolk. 

You will lead configuration management across a major nuclear new build programme shaping how technical baselines are defined controlled and governed.

Working across engineering programme and supply chain teams you will ensure configuration arrangements support effective decision-making and project delivery.

  • Deliver and integrate programme-specific Configuration Management Plans
  • Define implement and improve CM standards procedures and tools
  • Control configuration items and product configuration information consistently
  • Establish baselines manage change and produce configuration status reports
  • Plan and perform configuration audits supporting governance requirements
  • Lead CM change control processes through governance to closure
  • Provide training coaching and mentoring on configuration management
  • Support data-centric configuration control across engineering datasets

 


Qualifications :

Nuclear experience is not essential but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further we would strongly encourage you to apply.

  • Engineering degree (Mechancial Electrical or Civil) or equivalent industry experience. 
  • CM certification (CM2) and/or equivalent industry experience. 
  • Ability to define pragmatic project-focused CM procedures
  • Strong understanding of engineering documentation and processes
  • Experience coordinating cross-cutting technical topics
  • Excellent written communication and reporting skills
  • Understanding of large-scale infrastructure project delivery
  • In-depth knowledge of Configuration Management Standards including ISO 10007 EIA 649 and supporting guidance (e.g. GEIA-HB-649
