Duties & Responsibilities

Key Attributes & Competencies

Strong knowledge of export documentation customs procedures and international trade compliance
Sound understanding of Incoterms and cross-border regulatory requirements
Proven experience in managing end-to-end customs clearance for export shipments
Ability to accurately prepare review and validate export documentation for customs compliance
Experience in handling permits and certificates (e.g. SADC GSP EUR1)
Solid understanding of HS Codes cargo dues and customs authorization processes
Strong logistics coordination skills across local and international supply chains
Ability to track monitor and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
Effective problem-solving skills to resolve customs clearance or shipment issues
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with customs authorities logistics partners and internal teams
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
Ability to maintain compliant audit trails and support reporting requirements
Strong communication and collaboration skills across procurement sales and operations teams
Well-organised deadline-driven and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environmen

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric
BCom Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics Management
SAFEX certification will be an added advantage
5 years experience in Export Forwarding and Clearing/Sales service-related environment.
