Job Summary
Permanent Position: Fleet Controller Company Overview: Msuez Uk is a leading logistics and transportation company with operations in Durban South Africa. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Controller to join our team in Durban South Africa. The Fleet Controller will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fleet ensuring that all vehicles are well-maintained properly utilized and meeting our clients needs. This is a full-time permanent position with opportunities for growth within the company. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and track the fleets daily operations including vehicle location fuel consumption and driver performance - Coordinate with drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services - Schedule and oversee vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safety - Review and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving measures - Develop and maintain relationships with clients suppliers and vendors - Train and mentor new drivers and provide ongoing support and guidance to existing drivers - Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and regulations - Maintain accurate records and reports on fleet performance and expenses - Collaborate with other departments to improve overall efficiency and customer satisfaction - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments and implement best practices within the fleet department Qualifications and Skills: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or transportation is a plus - Proven experience as a Fleet Controller or similar role in the transportation industry - Strong knowledge of transportation laws regulations and safety procedures - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Proficient in using fleet management software and GPS tracking systems - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Valid drivers license and clean driving record We Offer: - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunities for career growth and development - A dynamic and supportive work environment - Training and resources to enhance skills and knowledge - Chance to work with a diverse and talented team If you are a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for the transportation industry we want to hear from you.
