What you will be doing:
 

  • Prepare cook plate and present food items with exceptional attention to detail consistency and refinement
  • Support daily Fairmont Gold Lounge culinary operations ensuring food offerings reflect the personalized and elevated service that defines the Fairmont Gold experience
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen following all food safety sanitation and hygiene standards
  • Ensure proper product rotation in all chillers to maintain freshness and minimize waste
  • Safely handle store prepare and serve all food items in compliance with hotel policies and Food Safety guidelines
  • Adhere to EHC standards and processes including accurate completion of temperature logs proper labeling and dating of food items and maintaining clean storage areas
  • Consistently apply Five Diamond and Forbes Five-Star service standards in all aspects of food preparation and presentation
  • Collaborate closely with the Fairmont Gold Front-of-House team to anticipate guest preferences and adjust menu items or presentations to enhance the exclusive lounge experience
  • Uphold the ambiance and service philosophy of Fairmont Gold through refined presentation attention to detail and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations

 


Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

  • Creative and passionate about food with a strong commitment to exceptional guest service
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
  • Strong knife skills with the ability to execute a variety of cuts consistently and precisely
  • Ability to read understand and accurately follow recipes within established guidelines
  • Ability to read and prioritize tasks from a prep list determining the most efficient order of completion
  • Strong multitasking time management and organizational skills to ensure duties are completed efficiently
  • An attentive listener with the ability to follow directions precisely to achieve desired results
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a cooperative positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Food Safe Certification required
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment is an asset
  • Comprehensive understanding of Fairmont Gold Lounge food service operations standards and VIP guest expectations
  • A strong interest in developing within Fairmont Gold Lounge culinary operations as this role is dedicated to this specialized environment
