Job Summary

Own the enterprise IBM i platform strategy architecture and governance for mission-critical systems
Define IBM i platform standards best practices and reference architectures
Design and implement enterprise-grade high availability disaster recovery and resiliency models
Lead modernization initiatives and integration with cloud and modern application platforms
Ensure platform security compliance and audit readiness across environments
Perform capacity planning and drive performance optimization initiatives
Drive automation strategies to improve operational efficiency and reliability
Manage vendor relationships and define technology roadmaps for the IBM i platform
Engage with senior stakeholders and executives to align platform strategy with business objectives
Oversee platform lifecycle management including upgrades migrations and decommissioning
Ensure operational excellence through governance frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
915 years of experience working with IBM i / AS400 platforms in enterprise environments
Strong expertise in enterprise IBM i architecture and Power Systems design
Proven experience designing and implementing HA/DR and cyber-resilience solutions
Experience with automation frameworks and operational tooling
Strong knowledge of security standards compliance frameworks and governance practices
Hands-on experience integrating IBM i platforms with cloud and modern technology stacks
Excellent understanding of performance tuning capacity planning and system optimization
Experience managing vendors and defining technology roadmaps
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Ability to lead modernization and transformation initiatives across large-scale environments
