AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Business Development and Marketing Department for a paid eight-week summer internship. This role will provide hands-on experience in data quality management and marketing technology support.
The Business Development and Marketing intern works closely under the supervision of the departments staff members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Assist with data maintenance in support of mailing lists and marketing technology tool implementation.
- Review contact lists and utilize LinkedIn company websites and other publicly available tools to validate and when necessary enhance contact records.
- Standardize formatting and taxonomy of large data sets in Excel.
- Work within established data quality standards parameters.
- Make requested updates in a timely manner and provide progress/status reports via Excel.
- Attend regular department meetings to discuss current projects and future strategic initiatives and plans.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant must be a current undergraduate student majoring in Information Technology Computer Science Business Analytics Information Management or Marketing with a concentration in technology/ addition applicant must possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Candidates must be able to think creatively meet deadlines stay organized and handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Third- or fourth-year college student majoring in one of the areas listed above.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Outlook Excel and PowerPoint.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to speak effectively with professional and support staff. Interpersonal communication skills necessary to exhibit a high degree of responsiveness diplomacy and professionalism in these interactions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability to multitask.
- Detail-oriented with solid time-management skills.
- Strong analytical oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
