Incentives and Bonuses
- Incentives will not be paid.
- Operate large complex riding lawn mower (e.g. multiple and independently controlled cutting decks) and/or specially designed riding mowers to mow in areas requiring attention to space and environment.
- Equipment characteristics include single function performance and components that are independently controlled through various hydraulic and/or mechanical devises.
- Performs tasks that require significant manual skill very heavy physical effort several steps phases and detailed procedures following drawings specifications while utilizing a knowledge of project requirements.
Conditions of employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. This position requires a physical exam.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends.
- Requires frequent lifting and moving of equipment weighing over 50 pounds.
- Very heavy physical effort is required in operating large riding mowers on grades and in areas with bushes trees and other visible obstacles that require significant maneuvering and level control.
- Works indoors and outdoors. May be exposed to adverse weather conditions when working outdoors. Exposed to drafts noise dust and of bruises muscle strains cuts and scrapes.
- Required to follow safety procedures and use standard safety equipment such as gloves ear protectors and safety glasses and exercise proper handling of equipment to avoid serious injury in the work area
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
- Demonstrated work experience that includes knowledge and skill to operate and control mowers and similar type mowing equipment in areas that require constant attention to working space and environment (e.g. equipment height and width when working around trees trenches large potholes slopes curbs rocks and other visible obstacles).
- Ability to operate various controls and levers to maneuver equipment (e.g. riding mower hedge trimmer etc.) and change attach devices/ components (e.g. lift/lower adjust engage/disengage etc.) as needed.
- Ability to interpret instructions specifications etc. Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.

- This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week - whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time regular part-time and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
