Receiving Coordinator

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detailâfocused Receiving Coordinator to oversee the accurate receipt verification and documentation of inbound materials. This role is critical to maintaining inventory integrity supporting warehouse operations and ensuring products move efficiently through the facility.

Objectives of This Role

Accurately receive verify and document all inbound materials
Maintain organized receiving areas and ensure proper product handling
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper stock placement
Communicate effectively with branch purchasing and customer service teams
Contribute to a safe efficient and wellâorganized warehouse environment

Key Responsibilities

Receive incoming shipments verify quantities and inspect for damage or discrepancies
Process incoming deliveries into the system; complete all receiving documentation accurately
Coordinate with Purchasing and Customer Service to resolve receiving issues
Ensure materials are labeled and stocked in correct warehouse locations
Perform routine cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories
Maintain a clean organized and safe receiving and warehouse area
Assist with routing returns warranty items and transfers
Operate forklifts pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely
Support warehouse operations as needed including picking staging and loading

Required Skills and Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
13 years of warehouse receiving or logistics experience
Strong attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
Basic computer proficiency; ability to learn inventory systems
Excellent communication and problemâsolving skills
Ability to lift 5080 lbs. regularly
Safetyâfocused mindset with consistent adherence to procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in flooring construction materials or building supply
Experience with inventory control or ERP systems
Forklift certification
Understanding of shipping/receiving best practices
