We are seeking a patient empathetic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Streatham starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs helping them access learning and develop academically socially and emotionally.

The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs. Your responsibilities may include one-to-one or small group support assisting pupils in lessons and helping them develop independence confidence and positive learning behaviours.
You will monitor and record pupil progress provide feedback to teachers and help implement interventions designed to meet individual needs. Collaboration with colleagues parents and external professionals is essential to ensure consistent support for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
Support pupils academically socially and emotionally
Promote independence confidence and positive learning behaviours
Help pupils access lessons and remain engaged
Observe monitor and record pupil progress accurately
Work collaboratively with teachers SENCo and support staff
Liaise with parents carers and external professionals when required
Maintain a safe structured and inclusive learning environment
Support pupils during transitions break times and structured activities
Attend staff meetings training and CPD sessions
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
