KS1 Teacher – Cambridge

We are seeking a passionate experienced and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Cambridge starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who loves teaching Key Stage 1 and enjoys creating engaging lessons that foster curiosity confidence and a love of learning.

The Role

As a KS1 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum. You will support pupils learning in literacy numeracy and foundation subjects while fostering independence resilience and positive learning behaviours. Working closely with teaching assistants colleagues and parents you will ensure each pupil receives consistent personalised support to meet their individual learning needs.

You will monitor pupil progress deliver targeted interventions when necessary and maintain a positive inclusive classroom environment. You will also support pupils transitioning from EYFS helping them consolidate foundational skills and build confidence as they progress in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across KS1

• Deliver engaging literacy numeracy and foundation subject lessons

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL

• Promote independence confidence and positive learning behaviours

• Maintain a structured inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

• Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records

• Provide targeted interventions to support pupil attainment

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants colleagues and senior leaders

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress

• Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives

• Support enrichment activities school events and extra-curricular opportunities

• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

Who Were Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching Key Stage 1

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be reflective adaptable and proactive

• Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

• Work effectively as part of a professional and supportive team
